Admitted to practice law in the States of Texas and Arkansas since 1964.  Admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U. S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth, Eighth and Federal Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas and the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the Supreme Courts of Arkansas and Texas.

Graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law; member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity; City Attorney for the City of Texarkana, Arkansas 1965-67; member of the Arkansas Legislature 1967-70; Special Chief Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court 1976; Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court 1980; member of the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct 1983-89; member of the Arkansas Board of Pardons and Paroles 1978-82; member of the Board of Visitors, University of Arkansas School of Law, 1992- 2000; member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel Selection Committee, U.
